Uncultivated Weed in A Christian Life
How much effort does it take to grow weeds? No effort at all. No farmer plans to have a weed in his farm. The Life of a Christian can be compared to a farm. God doesn’t want the life of a christian to grow weeds.
Weed are unwanted in the farm. Weeds are valueless plant growing wild, It grows on cultivated ground to the exclusion or injury of the desired crop. So also, anything in mans life that make him not to be Christlike can be said to be a weeds. Weed in a Christian life can be said to be anything of no value and are unwanted growing in the life of a christian. Weed naturally grows up on Any land that has not been cultivated. By nature, Any life that has not experience and encounter Jesus will be a life full of weeds.
How weeds grows in a christian Life
Weeds It grows in an uncultivated farm
If a Christian life is left uncultivated, it grows weed. cultivated by deliberate constant union with Christ. It doesn’t matter the great spiritual experience you have had. You can gradually drift away from the presence of God while it looks as if your ministry is still going on.
1 Timothy 4:16 says pay close attention to yourself. Watch your life and doctrines closely”. Watch yourself and watch your teaching, keep a close watch on all you do. Look well to yourself, to your overall personality. It takes little effort for weeds to grow in the farm. You don’t need to keep are close watch for them to grow. When a man allows weed to get into his life, it grows up Even no care is given to it. when there is scarcity of rainfall and your plants seems to be dying, a weed may wax strong in scarcity. weed increase in number daily.
Weeds Grows in a christian Life when men sleep.
Matt 13:24-26 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
When men who a suppose to be awake sleep, the enemy plants weed. the weed looks like wheat while its growing, but when fully grown a ripe and had ears which are long, the grains become black and poisonous. When a man is asleep, he does not know what is going on around him. When a believer grows sleepy, we become unconcerned with what is going on around us.. Prayer isn’t important anymore. We can’t seem to find the time to read the Bible or come to church. The thought of a sinner perishing in hell no longer moves us. it is this time that the enemy comes in to plants weeds.
We have today a problem, its men who are sleeping, not physically, but spiritually. Good men, churches, and pastors who have slumbered and many are sleeping. It is seen clearly in the lukewarmness about the cause of Christ, the unconcern over sin, the weariness of in carrying out spiritual duties, a forsaking of the house of God. While men are sleeping the enemy is busy. We are told today that we are no longer a Christian nation, but this line of thinking is the result of men sleeping.
Weed in A Christian Life become Possible when don’t tremble at the opening of the word of God
When you become so familiar with the Word of God that you don’t tremble at the opening of the word of God, a decay will be setting into your life. Weed grows up in a farm that the farmer doesn’t look after it. The grace of God for yesterday is never sufficient for today. Freshness comes only when you wait in the presence of God. Fruitfulness is as a result if growth. If a Christian stop growing, He can’t not produce fruits. A Christian that doesn’t carefully watch his life will by default allow weed to grow in his life.
The difference between a plant and a weed is that plant is something you cultivate, you fertilize, you trim, you water it and it doesn’t grow with the same speed that weed does. For a weed in the farm, even if you do nothing to it, it explodes. That’s the difference. Weeds block the breathing of that which the farmer Planted. When God plant something in a Man’s heart, weeds can disturb the growth of that thing.
Weeds are a sign of neglect
You don’t have to water weeds. They grow! Weeds are a sign of neglect. When I start neglecting time with God on a daily basis, when I start neglecting a small group, when I start neglecting getting together with other Christians in worship, going to a Bible study –any of those things — the weeds are going to grow up in my life and the Bible said they’re going to choke the spiritual life out of me. I’m going to lose my joy, my peace, my purpose, my sense of calmness, my ability to handle stress, etc. The weeds will choke the life out of you. And they all come just by neglecting spending time with God.
Eph 5:14 Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light.
Rom 13:11-14: You know what sort of times we live in, and so you should live properly. It is time to wake up. You know that the day when we will be saved is nearer now than when we first put our faith in the Lord. 12 Night is almost over, and day will soon appear. We must stop behaving as people do in the dark and be ready to live in the light. 13 So behave properly, as people do in the day. Don’t go to wild parties or get drunk or be vulgar or indecent. Don’t quarrel or be jealous. 14 Let the Lord Jesus Christ be as near to you as the clothes you wear. Then you won’t try to satisfy your selfish desires.
