Unquenchable Fire for God In The Midst Of All challenges

Unquenchable fire for God

In the midst of all the challenges and confusion in the world, you can carry an unquenchable fire for God.  You can be on fire for the kingdom even in a perilous time of great stress and trouble hard to deal with and hard to bear.

When troubles comes what a lot of Christians do is to summons God to the court of human reasoning and logic, they ask question such as “God why me”, “God are you still alive” “God where were you when this evil befall me”, all these are foolish questions, some even command God to solve their problem within a stipulated time, otherwise they stop serving him. They give the Almighty God a dead-line. Not knowing that anyone who gives God a dead-line will ultimately arrived at a dead-end. Beloved I charge us to remain steadfast in our profession even in the face of trials and troubles.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jer 29: 11.

And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Ex 33:14.

Even Though The Days Are Evil you can carry an Unquenchable Fire for God

Even though the days are evil, there is a sufficient grace for the race. you can move with an Unquenchable Fire for God. Look at Joseph as a young man, God had given Joseph a promise that one day he would rule. But then, for the next thirteen years everything went exactly opposite to the promise. His brothers, who hated him, sold him to the Egyptians. As a slave in Potiphar’s house, he was falsely accused of raping his master’s wife. Then he was thrown into prison and forgotten. But Joseph refused to let his circumstances shape his outlook. He allowed no self-pity or bitterness to rob him of energy. Instead, he chose to use each circumstance – whether at home, at Potiphar’s house, or in prison– as God’s appointed place where he would serve him with all of his heart. And God blessed him and made him a blessing.

Take Personal Responsibility

The grace of God is able to keep you going.  You only need to take Personal responsibility not to work as fool but as wise. Eph 5:15-18 said “So be careful how you act; these are difficult days. Don’t be fools; be wise: make the most of every opportunity you have for doing good. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to.”

You must determine not to be a victim of the present time.

The Lord Jesus has made it known to us through the scripture so that we will not fall victims of the end time prophecy. You must determine not to be a victim of your immediate environment. You need to take responsibility out of What God has made available in His word.

The new king James version of Eph 5:15-18 said “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” See then is an action word. Every believer is responsible for making Himself or herself not to be a victim.” See then” means you need to take deliberate personal responsibility of your action and your life. Deliberate personal responsibility to keep you alter on fire. Jesus said in in book of Luke 9:23-24 “Anyone who wants to follow me must put aside his own desires and conveniences and carry his cross with him every day and keep close to me! Luke 14:27 And no one can be my disciple who does not carry his own cross and follow me.

Being on fire for God requires daily discipline

Being on fire for God requires daily discipline. You need to discipline yourself and your time to spend a quality time with God daily. You need to develop your personal alter with God daily.  Let us get a fresh vision of Christ in all His glory, and a fresh glimpse of all the “riches of His glory” which He places at our disposal, and of all the mighty power given unto Him. Then let us get a fresh vision of the world and all its need.

The wonder is not that we pray so little, but that we can ever get up from our knees if we realize our own need;

the needs of our home and our loved ones; the needs of our pastor and the Church; the needs of our city of our country, of the heathen and Mohammedan world! All these needs, can be met by the riches of God in Christ Jesus. St. Paul had no doubt about this nor have we. Yes! “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory, in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19). But to share His riches we must pray, for the same Lord is rich unto all that call upon Him (Rom. 10:12). So great is the importance of prayer that God has taken care to anticipate all the excuses or objections we may be likely to make.

God foresaw this inability long ages ago.

Men plead their weakness or infirmity or they declare they do not know how to pray. God foresaw this inability long ages ago. Did He not inspire St. Paul to say: “The Spirit also helped our infirmity, for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered; and He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Rom. 8:26, 27).

Why do you need to take a deliberate personal responsibility?

The journey ahead of you is not straight. The enemy has planned so many things on your journey and this is why Jesus said watch and pray. Watch and pray is also a statement of a deliberate personal responsibility. You need to be sensitive of your environment. You need to make sure that you are not becoming a victim of the end time prophecy. You need to daily examine yourself and make sure that you are in the faith. You need to examine yourself daily to make sure that you have an anchor in a drifting world. It is he who will work as fool that will not take any step of action in other to be victorious over the plans of the enemy.

It is foolishness to embark on a journey that you do not know the nature of the road you are to move on.

See then that you walk circumspectly, (Eph 5:15). Don’t make experiment with your life because it is irrevocable.
