The Word Glory
The word “glory in its fundamental meaning connote such concept as “full essence,” “true Nature” or “full weight.” Therefore, the Glory of a thing is its true essence and nature. The Glory of a Christian teacher is in its true essence and nature. The glory of a seed is in becoming a tree, the caterpillar as a butterfly, the eagle as an eaglet. likewise, every profession possesses its own glory. The glory of a Business man is in his sales, the glory of a lawyer is in winning case.
Glory is the manifestation of one’s nature through one’s work. The Glory of a Christian teacher is in his work as a teacher. Men are in different profession for the purpose of manifesting their glory. A Christian Teacher also manifest His Glory in the teaching profession. Glory is the manifestation of one’s nature through once work.
Who is a Christian teacher
A Christian is he that has the nature of Christ. The Glory of a Christian teacher is in the full Manifestation of God’s nature. Teaching to him is not Just a profession, but it is his ministerial calling. Early missionaries used teaching as a tool for the gospel. A Christian is called to school to minister the gospel of transformation. As a Christian teacher, your mission as a teacher needs to go beyond just teaching academics. You need to know God has called you to the classroom.
the teaching profession is for those whose mind is to make men instead of money. Money is an attachment. His passion is to make men. He makes men not only for today but for the feature. The Glory of a Christian teacher is in the productivity of His works as a Christian.
Evaluating the glory of a teacher
You cannot evaluate to the influence of a Christian teacher within a short period of time because His influence grows as the students He makes grows. You cannot also measure the failure of a Christian teacher within a short period of time because His failures grow as the young man he failed to disciple grows. The influence as well as the failure of a teacher cannot be evaluated.
The teacher stands clearly as the maker and hope of the next generation. He has the opportunity of affecting the child all through the formative year; his duty is that of man-making. Whatever the society becomes tomorrow is largely dependent on what the teacher does with the young lives in his hands today.
The Glory Of A Christian Teacher is in His nature
If Teaching is you Ministry, then teaching could be your happiest moment. A Christian teacher is not to endure the teaching ministry but rather He enjoy it. If you are just enduring your ministry, you may need to seriously re-evaluate how and where you began. You may have to quiet, as you are most likely in a wrong place or wrong ministry. Teaching work should never be boring to you, but you should rather be seeking new and creative avenues to accomplish the tasks, or face the challenges that confront you.
To Manifest glory as a Christian teacher, you have to be professionally trained.
Professionally, the goal of a teacher training was to trained a teacher in a subject in such a way that the subject becomes part and parcel of his life. A Christian teacher that will make influence has to master His subject. Being spiritual is not Just enough to be called a Christian teacher. He should be able to provide solution to the problem of learning in His field. If you want to have a big impact, you need to gain the respect of your students, fellow teachers, and administration. One way to do that is by pursuing excellence in all you do.
To be a Christian teacher, you need not just to be professionally train as a teacher but to be an anointed teacher. The devil wants to present the teaching profession undesirable to many Christian, He is strategically taking us away from the place of influence. He makes the glory of the earth flash before us so that we will always desire and envy other professions.
The principle of manifesting glory
You are a Christian teacher to make disciples. The principle of a Christian teacher is “follow me and I will make you”. to be followable you need to first be a good teacher. You need to be followable. The students’ needs to find you accessible whenever they need you.
Create eternity in the heart of Students:
A Christian teacher writes eternity in the heart of a child. The Glory of a Christian teacher is seen when eternity is written in the heart of a child, when in the near feature, you come across some reformed youth now taking up their places as responsible members of society, civil servants, business people, politicians, military and security personnel, or even in the clergy and sometimes as missionary in the field or you meet them in Homes as responsible spouses and parents.
To create eternity in the heart of a student one has to dwell among students. Creating eternity in their heart will not be possible if you do not dwell among students. To make disciples of men, Jesus has to become flesh and make His dwelling among men. (John 1:14 AMP) And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.
For Jesus to make influence among men, He has to become flesh and make His dwelling Among men. Jesus the great teacher taught from place to place without any pay or wages (Jon 4: 34) We are to follow his example (1Pet 2:21)
The making cannot be done from a status of hierarchy.
For Jesus to make influence He has to give away His status. Jesus the great teacher is the perfect example for all Christian teacher. Philippians 2:5-9 record that “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross! Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, (NIV).
Are you a Christian teacher? You cannot make influence if you did not make yourself accessible to the students. All that is needed is to be an example that is followable. Unless you dwell among students, you have not given them the privilege to inculcate the Word of God in Them. Any other teacher can come and teach His subject and go But as for a Christian teacher, you need to make an influence. We will not succeed in making men if we are not accessible.
