Fulfilling Your Ministry

Fulfilling your ministry

Col 4:17 NKJV And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”  Before we begin to talk about fulfilling your ministry, there is a need to understand your ministry. There is a specific assignment given to each servant of God. Every man burn into this world has a task, there is no graceless Christian.

No Christian can say there is nothing to do. There is no Christian that has not been endowed to make a positive contribution to the Body of Christ. Before samson was born there was something God wanted Him to accomplished. God told Jeremiah. “Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you, and I ordained a prophet unto the nation.

(Col 4:17 TLB) And say to Archippus, “Be sure that you do all the Lord has told you to. Your ministry is that which the Lord has told you to do. Fulling your ministry is being sure that you do it. (Col 4:17 AMP) And say to Archippus, See that you discharge carefully [the duties of] the ministry and fulfill the stewardship which you have received in the Lord.

There is need know God purpose for your life. You cannot discharge carefully the duties of the ministry when you don’t know the ministry he has call you into. You should also find out what type of lifestyle you should have in order to fulfil the ministry. When God has a great vision for you, He still allow it to go through the process of birth and growth.

Gods work usually has a beginning which is just like a mustard seed. Those that are to much in a haste to give attention to the normal process of growth, a function of time and feeding, growth being automatic with time, will miss the will of God for their life.

There is no way a man can fulfil his ministry if He want to escape the process of growth. John the Baptist was to the work, but he began as a child. Jesus has a work to do also but he started as a child. And the Bible says “the child grew. You cannot make full proof of your ministry except you grow. A child that does not grow normally will not make full proof of His calling. Your body is the first investment God has given into you in order fulfilled your ministry here. Be careful how you handle your body.

You must grow mentally. Your intellect has to be developed. It is in this regard that intellectual training afforded by education is simply important. Incidentally dropout of school. What push you out of school will push you out of ministry. Don’t ever think that the gospel can be covered up for mediocrity. Growth of understanding, growth of perception is very essential. God want you to grow because He want you to fulfilled your ministry.

Apart from physical growth, you have to wax strong in spirit. The new bird is the beginning of spiritual growth. Growth developed what was already there. Spiritual growth is the development of those attribute God has already place in you. a new born child only requires the development of features that are already present.

Gal 4:1-2 NOW WHAT I mean is that as long as the inheritor (heir) is a child and under age, he does not differ from a slave, although he is the master of all the estate;  But he is under guardians and administrators or trustees until the date fixed by his father.

The level of one’s spiritual growth determines the extent of what can be trusted in his life. When a man has not grown, he cannot handle great things of God. If you must fulfill your ministry you must grow spiritually (Gal 4:1-2) But remember this, that if a father dies and leaves great wealth for his little son, that child is not much better off than a slave until he grows up, even though he actually owns everything his father had. 2 He has to do what his guardians and managers tell him to until he reaches whatever age his father set.

For any man to fulfill the will or call of God on his life, his marriage must be correct. A wrong marriage, an unequal yoke is going to thwart the purpose of God for your life. The marriage of a man goes a long way to determine whether or not he is going to accomplished Gods purpose for his life.

1 Tim 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Your ministry is nothing except there is a life to back it up. Once a man’s life is scattered his ministry is finished. When the spiritual life of a man is shape with his ministry, his service and his calling are also going to be jeopardized. Before a man can take heed unto Himself, he must take heed unto himself and his relationship.  If a Christian life is left uncultivated, it grows weed. It doesn’t matter the great spiritual experience you have had. Col 4:17 NKJV And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.”
