Flesh The Enemy of Our Faith
Bible Study: Flesh The Enemy of Our Faith
TEXT: Gal 5:16-18
there is struggle that is never seen physically within a man, and this is an inter conflict between the flesh and the spirit within a man. This is a silent killer within a believer which exist day after day.
The human flesh over ages has been a barrier for the free more of the Spirit of god within a man. The Spirit of God can not operate maximally in a man until the flesh is dethroned (Rom. 8:16) then the Spirit of God can prevail over it. This can only be done when the flesh (body) is offered as living sacrifice holy and pleasing to God for a spiritual act of worship (Rom. 12:1). The flesh remains the enemy of faith but when you give it up for the Spirit the faith will prevail over the flesh.

(a) How has the flesh (sin) crippled your faith?
(b) do you need Jesus to help you overcome the flesh? (Rom. 10:9, I John 1:9.)
“Therefore to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him is a sin” (James 4:7). Thus “it is the Spirit who gives life, the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are life” (John 6:63). Hence if you must make heaven, you must do away with Mr. Flesh.
