Biblical Perspective Of Ministry

Biblical Perspective Of Ministry

You can not get correct answers in ministry when you don’t follow the principles. The first principle in ministry to have the biblical perspective of ministry to know the task assign on to you. Every man born into this world has a ministry. There is no graceless Christian. Col 4:17: And say to Archippus, “Be sure to carry out the ministry the Lord gave you.” (NLT). Tell Archippus: “See to it that you complete the work you have received in the Lord.” (NIV) From the passage of the NIV translation of the Bible, ministry means work. When we talk of  the Biblical Perspective Of Ministry, we are talking about work, not a name, or structure or building. No matter how big structures you have, ministry is not a structure.

No matter how you name it, ministry is not a name. ministry is a work. You can have a big name and a big building but if God has not assigned you a task that you are doing, then you don’t have a ministry.

In Biblical perspective of ministry, Be sure to finish your  the task

Col 4:17: And tell Archippus, “Be sure to finish the task you were given in the Lord’s service.” (GNT).  The Goodnews-Bible call it the task you were given in the Lord vineyard. A task is an allocation of duty, with a beginning and a boundary. Ministry is a work, a task, an allotted task attaches to individuals. Everyone in the church has been attached a specific allocation of task.  However large a church is, every member has a particular allocation of task. Nobody is spectator in the church of God. Everybody has a ministry. Nobody is a an island. My prayer is that you will not spend your lifetime idling away.

Your ministry is not what somebody is doing

In the Biblical Perspective Of Ministry, Your ministry is not what somebody is doing and you join Him to do it.  but what God has told you to do. If you don’t know what the Lord want you to do, then you don’t know your ministry. If you are doing what you see others doing, then you are only doing another person’s ministry. So many people have left undone what they ought to do and they have done what they ought no to do. Ministry in the Biblical perspective is what God tells a man to do. It may not be the kind of things others are doing, it may be unknown, unpopular.

Bro Mike Abayomi Bamiloye,

According to the Life Story of Bro Mike Abayomi Bamiloye,MIKE Bamiloye. a man with a biblical perspective of ministry

the president and founder of the mount Zion drama ministry, at early stage of His life, He was convinced that God call Him into a Drama Ministry at the time when Drama is not known as a ministry in the church. Even when His ministry was unknown to the church, He hold unto His conviction. Ministry is that which the Lord has told you to do. If people understand it this way and do it, we would have progressed a lot in Christendom.

At this point, you need to start asking Yourself this question: what am I doing and who told me to do it? you may not be doing what God has call you to do if what you are doing is instigated by your parent, friends or you pastor in the church. Somebody may have a very nice voice and sing in such a way that people clap, and do so for several years, but her call is to be in the children department or in the mission field.

the basic principle

When basic principles of ministry are mixed up, application becomes very difficult. Mathematics is very simple as long as you know the first principle in every problem. You will not struggle in getting the answers. A student that find mathematics difficult are those who leave the principle and look for the answer. You can not get correct answers in ministry when you don’t follow the principles. The first principle in ministry is to know the duty entrusted to you.

There is no competition in doing your ministry.

No man can do those things which God has especially allotted to your name. no matter how many teachers we have in the children Sunday school department, they each have a specific duty that is unique and different from each other. That is why spiritual ministry is not competitive or comparative. Everyone has a specific task he only has receive grace to do. No matter how great a man is, he is not as great to do what has been allotted to me. You may be the general oversee of your church but no matter how anointed you are, you are not as anointed do what has been allotted to your pastor in one of your church branches.

Ministry is a service and not a title.

You were anointed for service and not for a title. Your service may be in the office of the prophet, but your anointing is not to own the title of the prophet, it is for service. Ministry is not a basis for pulling some group of loyalists around you. each man comes to contribute that which the Lord has put in His hand to do. Spiritual ministry is complementary. Paul’s assignment at Corinth was to plant. Apollos came and watered the seed. Biblical ministry is not personal ministry. No one man ministry is sufficient to carry out Gods work in this age. What you are doing may be a foundation to what another man is doing.

Biblical ministry is a matter of doing what God has told you to do. It is not necessary that you must be the one to begin and finish the work in someone’s life. It is only necessary that you finish your task.

There is no graceless Christian. No Christian can say there is nothing to do. There is no Christian that has not been endowed to make a positive contribution to the body of Christ. There is need to find out God purpose for your life. Pray and ask God to revealed unto you His purpose for life
