A living hope by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ
The new birth is into a living hope by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is one thing the know that there is a living hope and another to have a living hope. You can talk, speak, sing and even preach about a living hope even when you are not in possession of a living hope. It is only the new birth that lunch one into a living hope by the resurrection of Christ.
( 1 Peter 1:3-9 )
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,
5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.
7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
He has given us new birth into a living hope
What then is the new birth?
In John 3:3 Jesus said “accept a man is born again, he shall not see the kingdom of God. To be born-again is to have an exchange of the old life with a new life in Christ. John 1:12-13 said to all who receive Him, to Them who believe in his name, He has given them the right to become the children of God. Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband will, but born of God.
The new birth is not of natural descent, it is not of human decision neither. New birth is also not of husband will. The new birth is of God. John 1:13 tells us that this new birth was brought about by the will of God. We did not inherit the new nature from our parents or decide to re-create ourselves anew. Neither did God simply clean up our old nature; He created something entirely fresh and unique. The new creation is completely new. New creation is brought about from nothing, just as the whole universe was created by God ex nihilo, from nothing. Only the Creator could accomplish such a feat. That is why in John 3:6 Jesus said “flesh give birth to flesh and Spirit gives birth to Spirit. The new birth is by the spirit of God.
The New birth is a new creation.
The new creation is described in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” The word “therefore” refers us back to verses 14-16 where Paul tells us that all believers have died with Christ and no longer live for themselves. Our lives are no longer worldly; they are now spiritual. Our “death” is that of the old sin nature which was nailed to the cross with Christ. It was buried with Him, and just as He was raised up by the Father, so are we raised up to “walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). That new person that was raised up is what Paul refers to in 2 Corinthians 5:17 as the “new creation.”
( 1 Peter 1:3 ) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
The new life is the life of Christ, that is why the new birth is into a living hope by the resurrection of Christ Jesus. The Christian faith is base on the dead and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Romans 8:10-12 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.
And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you. Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation, but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.…

All other hopes that man may have on the surface of the earth is but a temporal hope. It is only a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ is Hope eternal. This new living hope also lunch us into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.
